 Boom time for tutors Date: 17 May 2009Across the country, as children buckle down to last-minute revision in the run-up to public exams, private tutoring is booming — and not just among middle-class parents anxious to supplement the poor teaching in some state schools. According to Charles Bonas, an Old Harrovian who runs the Bonas MacFarlane tutorial agency in west London, his 150 tutors, mostly privately schooled undergraduates, are most in demand among well-heeled parents who have already spent a great deal of money schooling their offspring.
