Private Tuition

Our tuition service assists children of all age groups and abilities. In addition to preparing for exams (we specialise in entry tests to UK independent schools), we have expertise in special needs provision and tutoring children who are being schooled at home, wherever they may be in the world. We work with British, American and International Baccalaureate curriculums and often assist children with the transition to schools in new countries.
The overriding aim of our tutors is to instill your child with the confidence and enthusiasm to eventually take charge of his/her own educational development. A rigorous selection and training process ensures that tutors have the academic initiative, strength of personality and sensitivity to engage and treat each child as an individual learner. Our tutors are all young and highly educated (with the majority being Oxford graduates). While some are trained teachers or dyslexia specialists, we train others specifically in the curriculums and learning methods we have adopted over the years.
We have a well-established reputation amongst parents and schools for our highly personalised service. We prefer to conduct an initial assessment at your home to make sure that a tutor is appointed who will suit the learning style and personality of your child. A director will maintain a close involvement with the assignment, ensuring tutors are correctly prepared and progressing. Where possible, we work in conjunction with schools, to ensure continuity with learning that takes place within the classroom.
With each assignment, there is a focus on key skills: numeracy; spelling; grammar; essay writing; exam question answering; memorisation techniques; note taking; comprehension and textual analysis; exam taking; study skills and organisation.
