Auriol Hereford
Coming from a fine Art background
(Cheltenham and then Wimbledon School of
Art), I moved to Santiago Chile , where I
taught English as a foreign language and
later Art to primary school children, as
well as developing my own practice as a
Painter. I then decided to complete my
degree in chile, graduating with a degree in
Art and Design from the Universidad catolica
de Chile.
Since 1999 I have been working in the field
of EFL teaching both adults and children.
Since coming toLondon I have had a senior
position as an EFL teacher in a London
language school and am not only experienced
but highly qualified in the area ( with both
a CELTA and a DELTA teaching qualification).
My interest in Art means that my language
teaching takes on a dynamic appraoch as well
as fulfilling specific requirements to
prepare students for exams such as IELTS ,
Cambridge First certificate or common
entrance.
I have also been involved in various Arts
projects including workshops for the Crafts
Council, teaching Art to groups of children
with dyslexia and dyspraxia in conjunction
with a centre that provides tuition for
children with special needs, and teaching
Graphic Design to A level pupils.
