James Bonas
After studying Psychology and Philosophy at
Oriel College, Oxford, I completed the 3
Year Acting course at the Royal Academy of
Dramatic Art in London. As well as acting
and directing, I have now been tutoring
children in Europe and America for seven
years. Subjects taught range from English
and Psychology A Levels to KS1 Maths and
Science. I spent several years in New Mexico
home-schooling from 5th to 7th grade and
teaching at the Yaxche Learning Centre in
Taos. Back in London, I also have close
connections with Emmerson House in
Hammersmith and now work with children who
have a broad spectrum of Specific Learning
Difficulties on a group and individual
basis. At the same time, I have run courses
on Exam Revision and Learning Techniques for
Common Entrance at 13+ at Fulham Prep
School, where I have also set up a Media and
Drama Club in partnership with other
professional actors and directors.
